Yes, it's a bit out of the way which is why I had not tried the Silos before today. The butterfly shrimp is delicious! We also tried their meat pizza, a calzone, mozzarella sticks, the jalapeno poppers, super fresh side salad (the only thing that could have made this better would be a chilled plate for the salad), spaghetti , chicken pie - very mild my son in-law I think might have liked it more if there was a spicy sauce option?-everything he shared was okay. Lastly Buffalo wings- spicy and just right. Kim our server did everything possible to provide for us. We ended up taking leftovers for home and yet had saved room for red velvet and assorted ice cream the superman ice cream was big hit with the 5 yr old . It's so nice to have lots of small choices for a Sunday dinner dessert . We will be back again. Oh! I forgot they also have drive thru option as well.
Stopped here for lunch on my way home, a nice surprise out in the middle of the country. I had the country fried steak and gravy special with two sides in which I had pintos and peach cobbler (dessert included as a side, yes please!) and endless sweet tea with tip included for $16! ($11 for the meal and tea with a $5 tip for outstanding service!) We live 45 mins away but will definitely make Silo's a regular weekend meal
Awesome desserts great cakes amazing food the oven was down so no baked foods available but it is a bit off the path but the people and the food make it a worthwhile place to visit for a great meal
7-24-2025 UPDATE!!! this restaurant is closed down.. No signs on the door or anything like that. but I've been coming by for 6 weeks and they have not been opened at all, or any sign of life!!! ///// /////I guess I wish there was a 4.7. Silos is not a gourmet restaurant. Yet, It is a very, top-notch family restaurant in a very rural setting with excellent service and high quality. The atmosphere is family and homie, and yet the architecture of the ceiling and being built around a silo is uncommonly nice. It is always super clean, and Kim, the owner, keeps it very personal and polite. If you follow my reviews you see that I don't give many fives. But consistently you can come to Silos for a very enjoyable meal. The lasagna is my favorite. For a restaurant that's not known as an Italian restaurant, it is off the chain. And they have a lot of variety on the menu: Gyros, Burgers, chicken, Italian dishes, fish and seafood, and a pallet of sandwiches and salads. It's only 5 minutes from Sawyersville Church & the setting around the restaurant is a beautiful tranquil country setting. Heck you could drive a horse to silos and tie your horse up outside. They have a place. - - When I came to Asheboro I tried a number of different places and Silos has become my regular favorite. We love to come here. The picture of the chicken parmesan does not favor it, because I couldn't wait and had already dug in. I am the pastor of Sawyersville Wesleyan Church and everyone that I have brought here loves it also. Which by the way is the only time that it's so busy that you might have to wait. So if you come right after church on Sundays bring a little patience with you. There is no other time that I have found that it gets that tremendously busy during the week. The service is fantastic and personal touch continual. The prices are moderate and reasonable. Don't hold Kim to the menu price, because with food prices going crazy these days, sometimes she has to adjust before she can print a new menu. And it's a nice, well-done menu. They are open till 9:00 at night which is a real Plus. But it is a family operated and run restaurant, and they work from early at lunch till 9:00 at night. And they're real nice people, so please get there by 8:15. She works and her staff works 6 days a week, so they really need some home time. Monday's they are closed to recuperate. ///// 3-13-25 I do not go here nearly so much as I did in the beginning of my time in Asheboro. They have an ongoing policy - that if prices change. They give you the current price and will not honor the price in the menu. I have a dozen times I have went up to the counter to pay and not been pleased with the price. They always point to a sign on the wall that this is their policy. There is no other restaurant in town that follows such a policy as this. So-being a little pricey in the first place- And never knowing what I'm going to pay has greatly reduced my inclination to eat here. My wife or someone at the church about has to want to go anymore, for me to go to Silos.... CLOSED DOWN!!!
First time visit but not our last. Food was really good, fresh and hot. Service was great!
Great southern food and good lunch specials. Attentive wait staff. Had the chicken pie and it was about perfect! They do take cards so no need for stopping by atm. Highly recommend for comfort food cravings!
